Welcome to Bakes & Bunz, where every loaf is crafted with passion, love, and a little bit of fun.
It all started as a simple newlywed hobby—Susan "Bakes" baking fresh sourdough for her wife. What began as a labor of love quickly turned into a full-blown passion (and, let’s be real, a bit of an obsession). Through patience, practice, and a deep appreciation for the art of slow fermentation, she perfected her craft, creating everything from classic loaves to tortillas, bagels, cinnamon rolls, and more. Every bite reflects her dedication to quality, flavor, and the joy of baking.
And then there’s Kenzie "Bunz"—the biggest fan, official taste-tester, and devoted supporter of the love of her life. She helps where needed, but mostly, she’s here to cheer Susan on, celebrate every golden crust, and make sure the world gets to experience the magic that comes from Bakes’ hands.
We proudly operate under the Texas Cottage Food Law, which means all of our baked goods are made in a home kitchen that isn’t subject to state inspection. While we follow all safety and labeling requirements, please note that our kitchen may process common allergens such as wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, and soy.
